I am a Player Development Analyst for Cal Poly Baseball, a scout apprentice on the Central Coast for Prep Baseball, and a Northern California video scout for Synergy Sports. I also work MLB games as a Tracking Operator, and spent the 2025 season as an ABS technician.
Day to day that means bullpen capture and per-pitcher feedback, camera work and clip tagging for intersquads and live ABs, advance reports, and staff-facing summaries. I work across TrackMan, KinaTrax, Blast Motion, and BATS, and use R, SQL, and Python to clean and join data from those systems into something a coach can act on in the next practice.
The communication side matters just as much. A report is only worth what a staff actually takes from it, which is why I study Communication Studies alongside the analytics. On my own time I build ccaabaseballstats.com, a stats site covering 15 Central Coast high school programs with custom leaderboards, RPI, and WAR estimates.
The goal is a Major League front office, and eventually a GM chair.
